The seventeenth edition of Al Ard [doc] Film Festival, that was about to start before the outbreak of the pandemic, is going to take place in Cagliari in an amazing summer location.
,The Sardinian Film Festival about Palestine and the Arab world, organised by Associazione Amicizia Sardegna Palestina, will bring its visitors to a wonderful summer spot in the city of Cagliari.

Five months after the postponement Al Ard is ready to start. For the very first time, the festival will be held in the hot season. For this reason, we decided to move the event out of the city centre to end up near the sea, in the wonderful Sant’Elia neighbourhood. The festival is set to run for 5 days at the recently renovated art and culture centre Il Lazzaretto, a place that is used to host exhibitions and cultural events.

More than 30 films will be screened and – as usual – a number of international filmmakers will join us in person to offer our audience a sharing experience, all in compliance with public health guidelines.

Besides the selected films, other activities are scheduled and will be published alongside the full-programme soon. In the meanwhile, follow us on Instagram and Facebook not to miss out any update from our side!

* Hosted in collaboration with RAS – Regione Autònoma de Sardigna, Comune di Cagliari, Lazzaretto, Sardegna Solidale, UDAP, Cineteca Sarda Società Umanitaria, Union of Palestinian Communities and Organizations in Europe, Film Commission Sardegna.
